THE early revocation of the State of Emergency (SoE) was ill-advised and poorly planned.
Anyone with sense would have foreseen that it was inevitable what has been happening at bars across the country. Total chaos at all bars, since the removal of the SoE where it’s like “ole mas,” crowds upon crowds descending on the bars, with people jammed packed not observing social distancing, drinking and smoking in close proximity to each other. Without a care in the world and no police officers insight to control the crowds or manage the people, enforcing the Covid-19 protocols.
The worst thing is that they are wearing their face mask as chin warmers, but leave it to this administration and the Minister of National Security, the Honourable Fitzgerald Ethelbert Hinds not to see that this would have happened.
A most incapable person has definitely been appointed to this crucial position as the Minister of National Security. It’s also hard to believe we have another person in national security in the head of the TTPS McDonald Jacob performing his job just to the standards expected of the Minister of National Security.
As soon as the SoE has been lifted the vaccinated and non-vaccinated people rushed to their favourite watering holes where the unvaccinated are hanging out outside the bars, close by or on the pavements while sending in their friends that are vaccinated to purchase alcoholic drinks in the bars.

The patrons are hugging each other, clamouring close to each other, without wearing their masks or with masks on their chins.
This selfish and bad behaviour just for a good time will be a high price to pay the piper in the future.
These people are not thinking of their loved ones, their children, their spouses or their elderly parents that they may have at home. This is definitely a recipe for super-spreader events all around the country.
Should Covid-19 reach their doorsteps, the consequences, only then they may learn. God forbid that, do not let us have to reach that stage before people act responsibly.
The Chief Medical Officer Dr Roshan Parasram indicated recently that if persons realise how highly contiguous the Delta variant really is and how much it seems to be spreading, the population would realise that they needed to take a lot more precaution.
The Delta variant is a lot more deadly and spreads quickly as well.
We are experiencing another Covid-19 wave as 28 persons have lost their lives to Covid-19 on Saturday in a surge of the highest daily figure ever seen so far. The delta variant is one of the most contagious variants to hit us so far and seems to be spreading like wildfire,
We need to give the Dr Keith Rowley-led Government a round of applause for really giving us an environment that will usher in a supers spreader event unlike what we have ever seen in the past. Where we will see more of our loved ones dying and many lives will be lost.
Any political scientist knows there are three types of government a nation can experience, a democracy, a monarchy and a dictatorship however, under the current circumstances we seem to be in a galloping dictatorship. So for potentially giving us the worst candidates possible to protect our citizens under this administration surely deserves a bow.
