ST Vincent and the Grenadines Prime Minister Dr Ralph Gonsalves is injured during protests in the capital of Kingstown on Thursday.
Reports indicated that he was returning to Parliament as there were fiery protests taking place against the Public Health Act seeking to make Covid-19 vaccines mandatory.
Details are still sketchy but, it was reported that Gonzales was hit by an object.
A picture on social media showed him with a red stained white shirt.
He was treated that the Milton Cato Memorial Hospital.
Agriculture Minister Saboto Caesar said in the parliament that blood stains on his shirt which belonged to Gonzales.
The protests in Kingstown are against the Public Health Act.
