THE Speyside Secondary School in Tobago is expected to re-open today (November 8, 2022) after its temporary closure on Monday due to adverse weather conditions.
The Division of Education, Research and Technology in a media release on Monday stated that the school’s closure was to facilitate clean-up operations following adverse weather conditions over the weekend.
Over the weekend, the Tobago Emergency Management Agency (TEMA) noted several incidents throughout the island including fallen trees and landslides due to the weather.
The agency assured that clean-up crews were also on-site to assist.
The Division stated that they remain committed to offering students a welcoming and safe learning environment and thanked all parents and teachers for their continued cooperation and support.
