LANDSLIDE victory for the STAR team of the United National Congress (UNC) in the party’s internal election but the United Patriots (UP) garnered more support compared to losing slates in previous elections.

UNC members turned out in their thousands to support their candidates with the end results being all members of the STAR team outnumbering the UP slate in each of the 17 positions being contested.

Paray, speaking to AZP News on Saturday night said the fact that so many people turned out for an internal election, that to him was a victory.

It meant that UNC members are becoming again interested in party affairs and there was a rejuvenation and energising of the party.

Paray is expected to address the media on Sunday along with his team members to further discuss the election and its outcome.
