THE Ministry of Education has named the top five performers in the Secondary Entrance Assessment Exam (SEA).
Three boys and two girls topped the list for the highest grades in 2025 SEA.
Reversing the previous administration’s policy to withhold SEA rankings, the Ministry announced the top five performing students at a small ceremony on Friday at the Ministry of Education, Port of Spain.
Education Minister Dr Michael Dowlath greeted the students and gave them trophies of accomplishment.
Additionally, the Ministry announced they would be publishing the names of the top 200 best-performing students.
The top performing students in the SEA exams and their schools are:
Sandhya Maharaj – Macaulay Government School
Xavier Telesford- Private Candidate
Nicholas Dolly – Chaguanas Government Primary School
Kailash Dialsingh – Exchange Presbyterian
Ashlyn Ramkissoon – Jordan Hill Presbyterian
The SEA exam took place on March 21, 2024. Results were available on Thursday night at 11pm on the Ministry of Education’s web portal.
A total of 18,246 students were registered to write the SEA examination, comprising 9,170 males and 9,076 females.

The announcement of the top SEA performers was stopped in 2022, due to controversy surrounding contested results.
