THE People’s National Movement (PNM) held its Mix and Mingle for media personnel at the Waterfront in Port of Spain on Monday evening. Many media representatives including AZP News were invited and attended along with high-ranking government officials and PNM members. Prime Minister Dr Keith Rowley used the occasion to state that he was only allowing “mainstream media” to his press conferences at the Diplomatic Centre in St Ann’s. It’s a decision that the Media Association of Trinidad and Tobago (MATT) has criticised him for. The stance has also been knocked by editorials in the three daily newspapers – all calling for clear stated policy.
