THE Youth Training and Employment Partnership Programme (YTEPP) Limited has new board members.
The new members were presented with their letters of appointment on Friday at the Ministry of Tertiary Education and Skills Training (MTEST), Education Towers, Port of Spain.
The new members include:
•         Dr Maurice Jones – Chairman
•         Ryan Sebastian – Deputy Chairman
•         Kerri-Ann Bailey
•         Shivanand Ramkhalawan
•         Rodney Stowe
•         Shaffik Mohammed
•         Whitney Stevenson-Hamlet
•         Jennifer Ramdhan
•         Lauren M. Ghoura
•         Issa Ibn Abrahim Ali
•         Darien Mohammed
Minister of Tertiary Education and Skills Training Prof Prakash Persad told the new board members,  “We really have a big task ahead of us… there is an opportunity to bring the country forward. We are in a bad state economically but it is also a blessing in disguise in that we can take the country forward in the way that we need to take it forward.”

MTEST Parliamentary Secretary Hansen Narinesingh and  Permanent Secretary Kurt Meyer also joined in welcoming the establishment of the new board as they iterated their commitment to working together.
The YTEPP Limited is a wholly-owned state enterprise which provides skills training and retraining opportunities for young persons to support business development.
The appointment of the members of the Board of Directors of YTEPP Limited will be for a period of three years.

In a media release on Friday, the ministry stated, “The government of the Republic of Trinidad and Tobago looks forward to working with national agencies for the improved delivery of quality education, economic growth and institutional strengthening.
“MTEST remains vigilant as it mitigates disparities experienced by the population in accessing higher education through the provision of opportunities for affordable, effective and efficient technical, vocational and tertiary education.”
