SENIOR Counsel Stuart Young was officially sworn in as the eighth Prime Minister of Trinidad and Tobago.
Camille Robinson-Regis took the oath as Attorney General alongside him. These two appointments took place at 10 am before President Christine Kangaloo at a ceremony at President’s House, St Ann’s on Monday.
Later in the day, at a 3 pm ceremony held at the same venue, the new Cabinet was unveiled. Notable appointments included Finance Minister Vishnu Dhanpaul, former High Commissioner to the UK and Permanent Secretary, and Marvin Gonzales as Minister of National Security.
Additionally, Fitzgerald Hinds, former national security minister, was named Minister in the Office of the Prime Minister, and Colm Imbert took on the role of Minister of Public Utilities.
