This comes after the Ministry of Health confirmed its first case on Tuesday.

The patient is a young adult male.
The ministry stated, “The relevant County Medical Officer of Health (CMOH) is currently conducting an epidemiology investigation and has initiated the local public health response, which includes home isolation and contact tracing for the patient.”
The country’s first monkeypox case is a middle-aged male with travel-related history.
The Ministry of Health said it will continue to provide updates to the public as necessary.
