‘I am an honest man who just had a bad day today’ – Alejandro Gonzales

A VENEZUELAN man who was arrested and later released on Monday wants an apology from the officers who held him.
Claiming his innocence, Alejandro Gonzales said in a TikTok video on Monday night, “I am not a killer. I am not a criminal. I know they are doing their work but I just want a public apology.”
Gonzales allegedly wanted for several crimes in Venezuela was allegedly found hiding in the trunk of a vehicle heading to Tobago.
He was arrested at the Port of Port of Spain by the Trinidad and Tobago Police Service (TTPS) who were working in tandem with International Criminal Police Organization (Interpol) to make the arrest.
It was reported that Gonzales was attempting to flee Trinidad on the inter-island ferry service.
Gonzales in the video said he was innocent and never killed anybody.
Speaking in English, in the video just about two minutes and 30 seconds long, he said, “I just want to clean my name… I am an innocent man. I no kill nobody.”
Gonzales said he left Venezuela because he wanted a better life for his daughter, his wife and other family members.
“I just come to this country for work honestly. I no make any illegal thing in this country. I am an honest worker,” he said.
Gonzales claimed that he has been working in Trinidad for the past two years with the same company and always had a good record of behaviour.
He also said he understood that the police were doing their job and asked that those officers help him to clean his name in Trinidad and Tobago as well as people who said he committed crimes that he never did.

Un hombre VENEZOLANO que fue arrestado y luego liberado el lunes quiere una disculpa de los oficiales que lo detuvieron.
Alejandro Gonzales afirmó su inocencia en un video de TikTok el lunes por la noche: “No soy un asesino. No soy un criminal. Sé que están haciendo su trabajo pero sólo quiero una disculpa pública”.
Gonzales, presuntamente buscado por varios delitos en Venezuela, fue encontrado escondido en el maletero de un vehículo que se dirigía a Tobago.
Fue arrestado en el Puerto de Puerto España por el Servicio de Policía de Trinidad y Tobago (TTPS), que estaba trabajando en conjunto con la Organización Internacional de Policía Criminal (Interpol) para realizar el arresto.
Se informó que Gonzales estaba intentando huir de Trinidad en el servicio de ferry entre islas.
Gonzales en el video dijo que era inocente y que nunca mató a nadie.
Hablando en inglés, en el video de apenas dos minutos y 30 segundos de duración, dijo: “Sólo quiero limpiar mi nombre… Soy un hombre inocente. No mato a nadie.”
Gonzales dijo que salió de Venezuela porque quería una vida mejor para su hija, su esposa y otros miembros de su familia.
“Solo vengo a este país por trabajo honestamente. No hago nada ilegal en este país. Soy un trabajador honesto”, afirmó.
Gonzales afirmó que ha estado trabajando en Trinidad durante los últimos dos años con la misma empresa y que siempre tuvo un buen historial de comportamiento.
También dijo que entendía que la policía estaba haciendo su trabajo y pidió que esos oficiales lo ayudaran a limpiar su nombre en Trinidad y Tobago, así como el de las personas que decían que cometió crímenes que nunca cometió.
