Saturday’s Weather: Saharan Dust, Chance of Thunderstorms

FORECAST: Partly cloudy/cloudy and breezy conditions accompanied by periods of showers/rain, at times heavy, in varying areas. There is a 40 to 60% (medium) chance of thunderstorm activity in a few areas. Conditions are expected to gradually settle by late afternoon, becoming mostly hazy despite a few lingering showers.

The remainder of the Lesser Antilles: Mostly hazy and breezy conditions despite a few brief isolated showers.

Caution: Gusty winds and street flooding can occur in the event of heavy showers or thunderstorms. A high concentration of Saharan Dust is expected to return during the afternoon. Persons susceptible to this change in air quality are advised to take the necessary precautions.
