As the government enters its final year, Dr Rowley said, “I can easily tell you that we are into an election year.”

He said the timing of rolling out some government initiatives, may cause some to say that they were an “election ploy.”

Dr Rowley said, “We will work ‘til the last day if we have to… there is no time better than the present.”

With the government’s term set to conclude in August 2025, Dr Rowley said general elections have to be called within 90 days of that noting that the EBC needs to be given 35-days notice.
