PRIME Minister Dr Keith Rowley has returned from Samoa, where he led a delegation at the Commonwealth Heads of Government Meeting.
During the trip, Dr Rowley also celebrated his 75th birthday last Thursday.
In a Facebook post, the Prime Minister shared his experience, writing, “Talofa from Samoa!”
He was accompanied by Minister of Foreign and CARICOM Affairs Dr Amery Browne and T&T’s High Commissioner to the UK Vishnu Dhanpaul.
He returns to the country when there is much debate on the leadership of the People’s National Movement (PNM) after he hinted about retiring from politics.
Energy Minister Stuart Young has acted as prime minister on the last three occasions when Dr Rowley was out of the country. Finance Minister Colm Imbert had previously acted as PM for the past nine years.
