MAYARO MP Rushton Paray says Prime Minister Dr Keith Rowley must stop frolicking abroad while the nation is in turmoil.
In a release on Friday, he said, “Prime Minister Rowley’s jet-setting escapades amidst a nation in turmoil are nothing short of disgraceful! While our country grapples with pressing issues, he gallivants off to Ghana for what? A mere all-night party on May 12th! The audacity to cloak this leisure trip with a courtesy call to the Ghanaian President is insulting. It’s evident that his priority lies in pleasure, not duty.
“The glaring omission of any mention of India in the press release speaks volumes. With India knee-deep in general elections, it’s utterly inappropriate for him to even consider official visits. Yet, there he goes, with a flimsy excuse of a meeting with Mukesh Ambani, as if that justifies his lavish junket.”
He said, “Dragging the Foreign Minister along for a joyride when there are no official engagements is a blatant misuse of resources. It’s high time he realises the gravity of the situation and heads back home. The man supposed to lead our nation out of crisis shouldn’t be frolicking abroad. And let’s not even get started on the Attorney General’s ignorance of constitutional duties.
“Yesterday’s post-cabinet press conference was a debacle, showcasing the sheer incompetence and detachment of our leadership. It’s time for accountability, not overseas revelry.”
