PRIME Minister Dr Keith Rowley says the country survived Hurricane Beryl “without too much bruising.”
In a Facebook post at 4.24 pm, Dr Rowley expressed gratitude especially to neighbouring Caribbean Community (CARICOM) countries who committed assistance to Trinidad and Tobago.
He also said, “We stand ready to offer support to Grenada and St Vincent and the Grenadines at this time as we pray ‘there but for the grace of God go I’.”
Eyes are mainly on Grenada as Hurricane Beryl rushes through the Caribbean with extensive damage done to Grenada on Monday.
The hurricane is officially labelled as the strongest June hurricane recorded in history.
While Tobago suffered some damages and inconveniences as well as Trinidad, the weather turned in a positive direction by Monday evening.
