Road Works on Solomon Hochoy Highway Until June

ROAD rehabilitation works will take place along the Solomon Hochoy Highway so motorists can expect a traffic disruption.
The Ministry of Works and Infrastructure advised the public that from today (Tuesday May 27, 2025) to June 13, the works will be taken place in the vicinity of Brentwood Mall to the Chase Village overpass.
The works are scheduled to be conducted during the hours of 8 pm and 4 am and the traffic disruption will be on both the northbound and southbound lanes.

The ministry is advising the public to use the Southern Main Road as an alternative route.
The ministry also reminded motorists that there will be frequent movement of heavy equipment along the roadway which may result in dust, noise and restrictions to traffic flow.
The public is being advised to proceed with caution and observe all directional signs and barriers, comply with instructions from police officers on site to facilitate traffic, drive with caution on all milled surfaces and drive at a reduced speed on approaching the work zone.

In a separate media release, the Ministry of Works and infrastructure also advised of disruption along the Morne Coco Road.
This to facilitate sectional milling and paving works along the 5km to 10km mark.
The ministry advised that works are also to commence today and continuing on to June 3 between 8 pm and 5 am.
Again, motorists are advised to exercise caution when driving in those areas.
The Ministry of Works and Infrastructure  has apologised for any inconvenience and thanked the public for the continued cooperation.
