THE Ministry of Health has announced a voluntary recall of Paracodeine Tablets, batch number KA23227, currently distributed in the Trinidad market.

This action follows an advisory from Cipla Limited, the manufacturer, after stability testing revealed an “Out of Specification” result for the codeine content.

Cipla’s tests, conducted at the 12-month interval under standard conditions, found the codeine levels to be slightly below the required specification. In response, the Ministry has been coordinating with local distributors to ensure that the affected batch is swiftly removed from retail outlets.
