High turbidity caused by heavy rainfall and clogged screens from flooded river conditions has affected operations. The Authority is working to restore service as soon as possible.

Speaking with AZP News, Member of Parliament for Caroni East Dr Rishad Seecheran said, “Everything seems to have stabilised at the moment. We had about 10 houses on Mon Plasir Road with flooding. No other reports at this moment.”

Chairman of the Penal-Debe Regional Corporation Gowtam Maharaj told AZP News, “We still have rain but the rivers are still taking in water, they have not overflowed as yet. We are happy for that. We are doing aggressive cleaning. Right now, we are in Clark Road in the midst of this rain, a full team, manual labour and Bacco trucks, excavators.”
