PROPOSALS are being made to the People’s National Movement (PNM) general council to have the party’s internal election by the end of June.
The proposal among other matters were discussed by the leadership of the party during a meeting on Monday.
PNM’s chairman Dr Nyan Gadsby-Dolly issued a media release on Monday stating that on Friday, a special general council meeting will be held to further discuss the issue of internal election.
The leadership is also recommended that all national executive positions be contested, that the internal elections be open to all party members in Trinidad and Tobago, using the one man, one vote system.

And another recommendation is to establish an Election Supervisory Committee by General Council to manage the conduct of the elections, including the review and issuance of the final electoral list, as well as the code of ethics for the internal election.
