THERE are now four nominees for the Police Service Commission (PolSC) with President Paula-Mae Weekes sending two more to Parliament for affirmative resolution.
In a release on Wednesday, the Office of the President (OTP) stated that President Weekes has issued a notification in respect of Maxine King, the Head of Wealth Management, Firstline Securities Limited, and Ian Kevin Ramdhanie, Academic Head of the Caribbean Institute for Security and Public Safety as nominees for the PolSC.
They join retired Justice of Appeal Judith Jones and management consultant Maxine Attong as the other two nominees.
Currently, there are no commissioners after the previous ones all resigned in the imbroglio concerning the appointment of the police commissioner.
The release stated that the notifications were issued for King and Ramdhanie on Wednesday and last Friday respectively.
