A 25-year-old policeman dies after a vehicular accident in Cedros on Sunday.
In a release the Trinidad and Tobago Police Service (TTPS) stated that PC Dymon Billy was driving his white Isuzu pick-up (TCL 436) along the Southern Main Road in Cedros where he picked up a skid in the vicinity of Limefield.
He lost control on the wet road, collided with a culvert and crashed into a ditch.
PC Billy sustained injuries and was taken to the Heritage Health Facility in Point Fortin.
Billy succumbed to his injuries around 10.58 pm. He was last attached to Fyzabad Police Station in the South Western Division.
Commissioner of Police Gary Griffith and the executive of the TTPS extended condolences to the family and colleagues of Billy.
He enlisted in the TTPS on August 30, 2018, the release stated.
Head of the Fyzabad Police Station, Sgt Ramsaran said Billy had a strong work ethic, respectful, obedient, hard-working and will be greatly missed.
Billy leaves to mourn his son Zkiel.
