MORE than $64million in narcotics were seized on Sunday at Quinam Beach in Penal.
The drug bust was made by officers of the South Western Division.
Police reported on Monday, that in an anti-crime exercise, officers from the Criminal Investigations Department and the Trinidad and Tobago Defence Force intercepted a Nissan Perry at around 5.30 pm at the Quinam Beach Facility, Quinam.
A search was conducted and police found five crocus bags of marijuana weighing 105 kg and 34 packets of cocaine weighing 39 kg with a combined estimated street value of $64,755,823.20.
The three occupants of the vehicle were taken into custody where charges were expected to be laid.
