ONE man is in police custody on suspicion of robbery which took place on Tuesday.
On Wednesday, officers of the Morvant Criminal Investigations Department received information relative to a report of kidnapping and robbery which took place in the Tabaquite district.
The officers went to Angeline Street, Morvant, near an abandoned cemetery and recovered a white Nissan Panel Van which was taken away during the robbery.
A few minutes later, the officers received further information and went to a track off Granado Street, Morvant, to a blue, flat concrete structure where they discovered an assortment of milk, juice, energy drinks, soft drinks and cigarettes, items believed to have been stolen during the robbery.
A 25-year-old man from Garrick Street, Second Caledonia, Morvant, was arrested and taken to the station.
Officers processed the scene and recovered other evidence. The panel van was towed and the items recovered were taken to the Morvant Police Station for processing.
