ANOTHER AR-15 rifle has been found by police officers.
The discovery was made on Monday by officers of the Arima Municipal Task Force during an anti-crime exercise, conducted in the Northern Division between 3 pm and 7 pm.
Officers, acting on information proceeded to Samaroo Village, where they conducted a search of a drain along the Priority Bus Route. There, they discovered two black bags containing the AR-15 rifle and approximately 1.4 kilogrammes of marijuana.

In the North Eastern Division, officers conducted an Operation Grand Slam exercise between 4 pm and 6 pm, in the Santa Cruz district.
During the exercise, officers of the Santa Cruz and San Juan Criminal Investigations Departments (CID), conducted investigations into a report of Larceny Motor vehicle which occurred in the Petit Bourg district the day before. The officers then proceeded to North Coast Road, where they recovered the white Toyota Aqua motor vehicle.
In the Western Division, a 43-year-old Carenage man was arrested by officers of the St. James CID, Western Division Task Force and Western Division Gang and Intelligence Unit (WDGIU) during an intelligence-led exercise conducted.
The suspect was wanted in connection with several breakings in the St. James district.
And, officers of the WDGIU, West End CID, WDTF and Western Division Crime Scene Unit, acting on intelligence, conducted an exercise between 5.30 pm and 9.30 pm during which one stolen blue Honda Vezel motor vehicle was recovered.
A Diego Martin man, 31 was arrested in connection with the incident and a quantity of cash also seized from the suspect’s home.
Investigations are ongoing into all of the above matters, the Trinidad and Tobago Police Service (TTPS) stated on Tuesday.
