People’s National Movement Public Relations Officer Laurel Lezama-Lee Sing praises citizens of Trinidad and Tobago on their brotherly love shown to neighboring St Vincent and the Grenadines.
In a release on Thursday, Lezama-Lee Sing thanks all who contributed to a collection drive for supplies intended for the people of St Vincent and the Grenadines (SVG) which was affected by the La Soufrière volcano.
She said, “On Tuesday April 27, four truckloads of donated items consisting of singular bottles of bleach to 200 cases of water were immediately loaded onto the Galleons Passage which sailed to St Vincent and the Grenadines on Wednesday April, 28.”
Lezama-Lee Sing said, “The rapidity and generosity with which the people of T&T responded to the PNM’s call to support our regional brothers and sisters are testimony to the fact that we are a compassionate reasonable and responsible people.”
In addition, “We therefore take this opportunity to remind all Trinidadian and Tobagonians that we are facing this pandemic together and we have to look out for one another.”
She said, “Only when we follow the advice of the public health officials, practice physical and social distancing, wear our masks properly, wash our hands and accept personal responsibility to aid with abating the spread, will we conquer this together,”
“We encourage citizens to collaboratively drown out the noisome pestilence of the virus, of selfish detractors, and of those opposed to your well-being and to good governance.”
