FOR calling Prime Minister Dr Keith Rowley “lazy” Member of Parliament for Princes Town Barry Padarath is being condemned.
The condemnation comes from the People’s National Movement (PNM) Women’s League.
On Tuesday, the league headed by Camille Robinson-Regis stated that Political Leader of the United National Congress (UNC) Kamla Persad-Bissessar was condoning that type of “disgraceful behaviour.”
The release stated, “Sadly, vile obscenities are now the norm for UNC politicians. The record will show that no person on a PNM platform would dream of being so nasty, foul mouthed, disgusting and disrespectful and get the support of the PNM party or leadership. We are simply saddened that these people are counted amongst leaders in this country.”
It stated, “As for Mr Padarath, he calls the Prime Minister “lazy”. Maybe he can tell us which year in which decade did he do an honest day’s work for a day’s pay. Kamla Persad- Bissessar, the parliamentary recluse, who was famous for five day weekends did not get noticed by him and the hapless, confused Padarath because they were both engaged in other matters so only now they can expound on the productivity of an actual working Prime Minister.”
At UNC’s Monday night virtual report, Padarath showed a video of Oilfield Worker’s Trade Union (OWTU) head Ancil Roget calling Dr Rowley a “lazy SOB”.
Padarath said Roget had “aptly described that lazy SOB who’s been missing while T&T is sunk in flood waters…that lazy SOB.”
He also said, “When you want to see contempt, hate, malice, look at that SOB Keith Christopher Rowley…that lazy SOB for five days couldn’t be found in T&T, but on Saturday he found himself on the golf course…”
