Members of the Trinidad and Tobago Airline Pilots Association took protest action on Thursday morning at the Piarco International Airport.
The pilots who were protesting against stalled wage negotiations with regional carrier Caribbean Airlines, are calling for a four percent wage increase but say they have not received any counteroffer from officials.
Industrial relations consultant for the Trinidad and Tobago airlines pilots association, Timothy Bailey, is calling for the intervention of Finance Minister Colm Imbert.
According to Bailey, with the airlines proposed expansion as announced in the budget, it is the right thing to do.
Meanwhile, the airline said it’s operations were not affected by the protest action as the pilots were off duty. (CMC)
