PHARMACISTS, dental interns and veterinary surgeons are being allowed to administer Covid-19 vaccines.
This according to The Emergency Powers [2019 Novel Coronavirus (2019-nCoV) Vaccination] Regulations, 2021, issued on Saturday and signed by President Paula-Mae Weekes.
It stated that during the period of public emergency, a medical practitioner or any of the following persons acting under the direction or supervision of a medical practitioner, may administer a Covid-19 vaccines:
(a) nursing personnel;
(b) a dentist;
(c) a veterinary surgeon;
(d) a medical intern;
(e) a dental intern;
(f) a paramedic; or
(g) a pharmacist.
