THE Progressive Empowerment Party (PEP) is pleased with Opposition Leader Kamla Persad-Bissessar’s congratulatory message to US President Donald Trump on the occasion of his inauguration.
PEP’s political leader Phillip Alexander said on Tuesday, “We in the Progressive Empowerment Party could not be more elated by the clarity of her words which mirror and echo our own sentiments, and look forward with tremendous anticipation to working with her as the next Prime Minister of Trinidad and Tobago so this nation could celebrate as the Americans are doing today, the end of tyranny and political insanity.”
In supporting statements, he said, the former Biden administration was indeed destructive and “America is finally free of the madness of that administration.”
In a subsequent release, he also criticised political leader of the National Transformation Alliance (NTA) Gary Griffith who advised caution in foreign diplomatic statements and said Persad-Bissessar should not have condemned Trump’s predecessor Joe Biden for his role in advocating for the woke culture.
Alexander said Griffith should be looking at his own reflection in the mirror instead of focusing on Persad-Bissessar.
He said, “The world has been traumatised by an agenda that has now reshaped politics and has awoken most to their responsibilities as citizens. This is obviously why President Trump won the largest turnout of votes from youths, women and people of color, all disenfranchised by the woke and cancel cultures.”
The world was falling into chaos with no differentiation between genders but the Trump administration will change that, Alexander said restoring sanity back to America and beyond.
