LONDON- ARSENAL footballer Mesut Ozil was the victim of an attempted carjacking in north-west London.
He and Sead Kolasinac, another Arsenal player, are both safe after the incident near Golders Green Road on Thursday.
Ozil was driving his Mercedes G Class 4×4 when he was surrounded by a scooter-gang, internet reports indicate.
He fled his car and took shelter in a nearby Turkish restaurant named Likya while Kolasinic, who was in the passenger’s seat appeared to fight off some of the attackers. A video of this is being shared on social media.
Both players are said to be fine and should play in the Emirates Cup this weekend.
