John Henry, the proprietor of Crystal Waters Limited, was fatally shot in Couva on Wednesday evening.
Reports indicated that around 7 pm, Henry was ambushed at Deonarine Junction in Mc Bean, Couva. He was shot multiple times about the body.
Henry succumbed to his injuries upon arrival at the Couva District Hospital.
The perpetrators fled the scene in a Nissan B14 car which was found burnt along Camden Road.
Henry also owned a casino, police said.
