Speaking at a post-Cabinet media briefing, Dr Gadsby-Dolly said, “ Based on our circumstances at this time, we would be in support of a postponement not more than three weeks. There are some issues for example surrounding the students in St. Vincent and the Grenadines that need a closer look and all of the members states have been asked by today to submit their views on the recommendations of CXC and Trinidad and Tobago would have done so today.”

She said the possibility of using technology to host the exams virtually was also discussed so that teachers and pupils can be separated.

The minister said the response from CXC was now being awaited.
