FOR the many persons who tested positive for Covid-19 and are in home self-isolation, there is a free online forum to help track temperature and oxygen levels.

Online medical platform Virtual Wellness can also help one track its blood pressure and blood sugar readings.

In a press release on Tuesday, Virtual Wellness stated, “Diabetes and obesity are among two comorbidities that affect Covid patients with a higher risk of hospitalisation and even death. How it works is that Covid patients at home can click on the website, enter their contact information and enter the values of their temperature, oxygen levels or from the pulse oximeter, as well as blood pressure and blood glucose if applicable. Our doctors will see the results in real-time and can advise on your progress and management.”

Virtual Wellness was started during last year as a free online patient services website to provide access and continuity of care to persons, including seniors, the vulnerable and those who had lost their jobs, as a result of the Covid pandemic.

Founder, Dr Navi Muradali is encouraging Covid positive patients to use the virtual Covid Tracker and other services provided by Virtual Wellness especially during this period.

The Trinidad & Tobago Association of Retired Persons (TTARP), the Diabetes Association of Trinidad & Tobago (DATT), the Trinidad & Tobago Association of Nutritionists & Dietitians (TTANDi) and the Trinidad & Tobago Association of Psychologists (TTAP), including many other non-governmental organisations NGOs, have partnered with Virtual Wellness to give care to those in need.
