NOMINATION forms for the United National Congress (UNC) internal election becomes available from Monday.

The Elections Management Committee (EMC) advised that the forms would be available at the UNC headquarters at 31 Mulchan Seuchan Road, Chaguanas, from Monday to Friday, between the hours of 10 am to 4 pm.

Nomination Day is on July 27, and the post of political leader would be contested on August 17.

On Sunday, the UNC announced members of its EMC.

They are:

·       Ramesh Persad Maharaj (Chairman)

·       Marilyn Martin

·       Allen Sammy

To date, only incumbent political leader prime minister Kamla Persad-Bissessar had publicly stated her intention to again contest the post and several arms of the UNC have pledged support for her again as political leader.
