THE search is ongoing for a couple who went missing since last Friday and the case is being treated as a criminal case.
Samuel Montano, 44, and his girlfriend Zaheeda Mohammed, 36, were last seen by Montano’s sister at around 11 am on Friday.
However, when she tried calling him and there was no answer, she visited his home at Sunset Cove Extension, La Romaine, only to discover a trail of blood and spent shells stretching from his home to the nearby sea known as Freeman Bay in the Gulf of Paria.
Mohammed lives at Cottage Road, San Fernando.
The police were contacted and are investigating along with the Trinidad and Tobago Coast Guard who is conducting searches.
Fisherfolk in the area are being asked to be vigilante and look out for anything that may point to the individuals.
