ALL face-to-face classes at school are now suspended.
This according to the Ministry of Education on Saturday in a release issued minutes after Prime Minister Dr Keith Rowley announced a state of emergency and a curfew from 9pm to 5am to deal with the upsurge in Covid-19 cases in Trinidad and Tobago.
The ministry had allowed limited face-to-face time for labs and school-based assessments as students prepared for exams during the pandemic.
But in the release it also stated that all administrative operations at schools should be done remotely as far as possible.
It stated that all teaching and learning activities should be done remotely.
The ministry stated that more information will be made available during the week to deal with the date for the Secondary Entrance Examination (SEA) scheduled for June 10 and the conduct of CSEC and CAPE.
