She said the decrease to 175 came from a total of 6,461 inclusive of 2,300 senior citizens pension queries.
The decrease was across all benefit categories as at Wednesday.
“This achievement is not one that is coincidental but it is the result of deliberate action and effective governance by your government of Trinidad and Tobago,” Mohit said.

She thanked three ministries for assisting the reducing the backlog and citizens for their patience.
Mohit also asked that citizens with immigration queries bear a little while longer as the ministry will be working on those as soon as possible.
When asked what caused the reduction so quickly, Mohit said her staff and the NIB staff worked over the long weekend to ensure that by Monday at 2 pm, a report was submitted to her ministry.
