This was stated in a release from President’s House on Friday.

The release was titled “Acting president Wade Mark To swear in minister of government.”

It stated, “Friday February 13, 2026: His Excellency Wade Mark, Acting President of the Republic of Trinidad and Tobago will swear in a Minister of Government of the Republic of Trinidad and Tobago today, Friday February 13, 2026 at 11:30am at The President’s House. Members of the media are invited to cover this event.”

The name of the new minister was not revealed.
