A DOMESTIC dispute in Hardbargain led to a murder-suicide on Sunday night.
Michael Ram, 65, fatally shot his wife, Sunita, 56, before taking his own life at their residence on Piparo Junction Road in Williamsville.
The couple’s children discovered the bodies around 8.15 pm and immediately contacted authorities. According to a police report, the couple returned home from an evening out at a local bar. Under the influence of alcohol, an argument escalated, resulting in Michael using a 16-gauge shotgun to commit the act.
Michael was a retiree from TSTT, while Sunita was employed by the Unemployment Relief Program (URP).
The Southern Division Task Force, along with officers from the Princes Town Station, responded to the scene, led by Cpl Ramdass.
Post-mortems are scheduled at the Forensic Sciences Centre in Federation Park.
Cpl King is leading the ongoing investigation.
