A man was killed and two others were injured in a shooting on Friday afternoon on Shirvan Drive,  Sangre Chiquito, police said.

It happened about 4 pm. A white Nissan sedan carrying four occupants was travelling when another vehicle coming from the opposite direction opened fire.

According to witnesses, the driver attempted to reverse and speed away, but the attackers continued firing. The sedan eventually lost control, veering into an open yard and slamming into a wall.

Two masked men then exited the second vehicle. One carried a long gun that appeared to be a rifle, while the other held a handgun. One of the occupants of the sedan fled for cover as the gunmen approached, opened fire at close range, and then returned to their vehicle and fled the scene.

All three occupants of the white Nissan were shot. Police and medics were alerted, and officers from the Eastern Division responded to the scene.
