SHARON ROWLEY, the wife of Prime Minister Dr Keith Rowley, is in New York for the birth of her granddaughter.
This was revealed on Dr Rowley’s Facebook page on Wednesday, Independence Day.
It was accompanied by a picture showing Mrs Rowley holding a baby with the post:
“PROUD GRANDMOTHER
My wife Sharon is in New York with our daughter Sonel who recently gave birth to a beautiful baby girl.
Thank God for his many blessings.”
It put an end to speculation as to why Mrs Rowley was not at the 60th anniversary of Independence.
On Wednesday morning when Dr Rowley arrived at the Queen’s Park Savannah for the Independence Day parade, the announcement on the public address system welcomed both him and Mrs Rowley who was a no-show.
