A man has killed his brother.
Police said the brothers were involved in a fight after one of them as abusing his common-law wife.
According to police reports, the brothers were at their home at Mon Repos Road, Morvant, on Sunday morning when one got into an argument with his wife.
The other brother intervened and was stabbed with a screwdriver. He then went to the kitchen, picked up a knife and slashed his brother’s throat.
The scene was visited by police officers from the North Eastern Division who found the wounded brother sitting at the side of the road.
He was taken to the Port-of-Spain General Hospital for treatment.
The other was pronounced dead by a District Medical Officer (DMO).
