THE body of 39-year-old Merissa Edwards has been found.
Her body was found in a drain off Brickfield Road Couva on Monday at around 6 pm.
She was last seen by relatives on September 18 leaving her Freeport home with her boyfriend Simeon Roopchand.
Roopchand was subsequently found hanging from a tree in a forested area in Tabaquite.
Police suspect that Roopchand killed Edwards first and then himself.
Edwards, the mother of a 16-year-old daughter lived at John Eli Road Extension, Freeport.
She was an administrative clerk at the Faculty of Medical Sciences at the University of the West Indies, St Augustine campus.
