MAYARO Standard Five pupils writing the Secondary Entrance Assessment (SEA) on July 1, are getting some help in being prepared.
The Mayaro Covid-19 Action Task Force headed by Mayaro’s Member of Parliament Rushton Paray joined the South Eastern Educational District Office in strengthening its sanitisation efforts for the Mayaro constituency.
Paray recently handed over 1,500 disposable three-ply face masks, specially designed for children as well as 200 KN95 Face Mask and personal sanitisers for all administrative staff on examination day.
Through the Mayaro/Rio Claro Regional Corporation, the Covid-19 Task Force will also assist with the sanitisation of primary schools’ examination classrooms.
Attending the handover were representatives of the Ministry of Education, Principal Richard Ramnarine of Mafeking Government Primary School and Principal Neela Ramsingh- Navet Presbyterian and Shaun Kalipersad MRCRC DMU.
Paray said it was the hope of the Task Force that the SEA was conducted safely without any undue risk to both students and administrative staff and this measure should bring some much needed ease to parents at this time.
“The combined effect of sanitising and proper masking of student and staff will minimise the opportunity for Covid-19 transmission,” he said.
And the Covid-19 Action Task Force thanked Keenan Singh, Managing Director of Air Link Communications Keenan Singh who assisted with the contribution.
