Manhunt: 4 Prisoners On The Run

A MANHUNT is underway for four prisoners who escaped from the Golden Grove Prison, Arouca on Sunday night.
Five had escaped and one has been re-captured.

The four still missing have been identified as:

  • Anthony Seepersad, aka Rajesh/Rakesh Sandookee, 29;
  • Kurien Douglas, 26;
  • Shaquille Drayton aka Jabari Williams, 30; and
  • Theon Thomas, 24.

Seepersad last known address is Penco Street, Chaguanas and had been charged with larceny motor vehicle.  

Douglas last known address is Woodbrook and he was charged with the offences of robbery with violence.

Drayton whose last known address is Bayshore, Marabella and Logie Street, Siparia been charged for the offence of assault.

Thomas last known address is Ramdeen Trace, Rock Road, Penal and he had been charged with housebreaking and larceny. 

The Trinidad and Tobago Police Service  (TTPS) is asking the public’s assistance assist in recapturing the prisoners.

The TTPS reported on Monday morning that the five men were discovered missing from Dormitory #4 of the prison around 10.30 pm, on Sunday.

Checks revealed that BRC wire was cut and the galvanise in the roof of the dormitory had been raised. Several units responded to the report, including the Air Support Mobile, the North-Central Task Force, the Northern Division Task Force and the Northern Division Emergency Response Patrol.

Checks were made in surrounding areas which resulted in one of  the escapees, Kevin Jagdeo, being recaptured in the Trincity district.

He was arrested and is in police custody. 

Anyone with information that could lead to the re-capture of the men is asked to contact the Arouca Police Station at 640-6138 or call 999, 555, or share the information via the TTPS App.
