Police have arrested several individuals and seized narcotics during exercises conducted over the past 24 hours.
A roving exercise was carried out between midnight and 4 am on Sunday by officers of the St Joseph Criminal Investigation Department (CID) and the charge room.
During the exercise, officers arrested a 26-year-old man from Quarry Road, San Juan, for driving while disqualified and driving without a valid certificate of insurance.
Additionally, two Venezuelan nationals were arrested: a 19-year-old for larceny, and a 21-year- old for possession of housebreaking implements.
This operation was spearheaded by Senior Superintendent Pierre, coordinated by Superintendent Gift, Assistant Superintendent David, and Inspector Pierre, and supervised by Acting Sergeant Phillips and Acting Sergeant Joseph-Perez.
And between 9 am and 1 pm on Saturday, officers of the Southern Division Task Force conducted an exercise in the division.
During this exercise, six individuals aged 19, 42, 47, 54, 60, and 66 were arrested for multiple offences, including possession of cocaine, possession of cannabis, and possession of a prohibited device.
This exercise was coordinated by Assistant Superintendent Phillip, Inspector Wilkinson, Sergeant Steele, and Sergeant Mason.
Investigations are ongoing.
