A Las Lomas man has appeared before a Master of the High Court charged with the murder after the burnt remains of a 67-year-old was found on August 7.
Devon Gannes, 40, of Las Lomas appeared before Master Margaret Sookraj-Goswami, in the North High Court, on Tuesday.
Dalipram Jadoo, 67, also of Las Lomas, was found dead at his home. His burnt remains was identified.
The Sufficiency Hearing date was set for July 25, 2025.
One male suspect was arrested in connection with the incident by officers of the Homicide Bureau of Investigations (HBI), Region Two, in the Las Lomas district, on August 12, 2024.
Investigations were supervised by acting ASP Victor, acting Insp Simon, Sgt Ramoutar and PC Jaggernauth, all of HBI Region Two.
Gannes was charged with the offence on August 19, 2024, by WPC Hicks, also of HBI Region Two, following advice received from acting Director of Public Prosecutions, Joan Honore-Paul.
