ATTORNEY Larry Lalla has resigned from the United National Congress (UNC).
He sent his resignation letter on Monday to UNC chairman Davendranath Tancoo.
Lalla said he has advocated unsuccessfully for change in the UNC.
He said, “As you are aware I have advocated, unsuccessfully, for change in the party for the past nine years (2015 as part of the UNC Loyalists team 2020 as part of the Lotus team and 2024 as part of the United Patriots Team), and having done so, I have arrived at the conclusion that I can afford no more time to my effort in the party.”
Lalla referred to his unsuccessful challenges to the UNC’s leadership and executive as part of Team Loyalists was led by Dr Roodal Moonilal, Team Lotus was led by Vasant Bharath and Team Patriots was led by Rushton Paray.
