KFC is Carnival and is bringing value and flavour to the season.
Joining with Soca star’s Destra Garcia and Yung Bredda, KFC launched its Carnival 2026 campaign KFC KRUNCHIVAL on Monday on the Brian Lara Promenade, Port-of-Spain.
The event, which was Emceed by local entertainer Gervail Jr Lee Lemo, exploded with excitement as Soca queen Destra Garcia and Yung Bredda performed the KRUNCHIVAL anthem, sampling Garcia’s 2003 hit “It’s Carnival!”
However, it could be said the true excitement came from KFC and Pizza Hut Vice President Roger Rambharose’s announcement that not only is KFC Carnival, but the chain would be launching an innovative, value-based menu for the season.
Addressing a social media post on December 27, 2025, that stated “KFC Is Not Celebrating Carnival 2026,” Rambharose, said, “Over the past few days, many of you would have seen a message from KFC that caused quite a bit of conversation.”
Joking that he began to “sweat” when he saw the comments, Rambharose stated, “KFC is not celebrating Carnival, because KFC is Carnival!”
Acknowledging the shifting economy, Rambharose stated KFC’s KRUNCHIVAL had been created to ensure value for money during, what he described as a “tough year.”
Rambharose said, “(The year) 2026 will be a year of value and innovation for the KFC brand. We know it’s going to be a tough year. We saw everything, and we have been seeing a lot has been going on, but just know KFC is here for you in good times, in bad times, in difficult times. One thing you could count on, count on the KFC. Count on the Colonel.”
He said, “As we launch KRUNCHIVAL, we are also reinforcing what matters the most to our customers, value for their money, new taste experiences and a variety of options for every bite.”
Adding, “This Carnival season, KFC will be delivering strong value offers that keep the party, but along with the launch of the long-awaited new wraps made for life on the road, easy to enjoy, packed with flavour and full of crunch.”
Rambharose said, “Carnival has never been something we sit on the sidelines and watch. Carnival is about energy. It’s about flavour. It’s about movement and togetherness.”
He said, “And this year, we wanted to create the excitement in a different way. We disrupted the conversation to remind the country that when KFC shows up, especially in Port of Spain, for Carnival, we don’t do it halfway. We do it boldly. We do it with flavour. We do it for the people of Trinidad and Tobago!”
