PRIME Minister-elect Kamla Persad-Bissessar has extended gratitude to the people of Trinidad and Tobago following the United National Congress’ (UNC) and the coalition of interest victory in the 2025 General Election.

In a post-election message from her Facebook page on Wednesday, Persad-Bissessar said voters chose “hope” and “progress” at the polls.

“You chose a future where everybody wins,” the UNC political leader stated.

The message, accompanied by an image of Persad-Bissessar standing between the national and UNC flags, thanked citizens for their trust and support.

“This victory belongs to each and every one of you,  the hardworking people who stood up for a better tomorrow. You are the real heroes in this story.”

Persad-Bissessar also sdaid that the work ahead begins now. She said, “Together, we will build the nation we all deserve.”

The message concluded with the slogan: “Now that UNC has won, Everybody Wins.”
